The Century Eliminator X100 is a high-performance, UK-built shore rod developed through extensive research, testing, and iterative refinement. It uses an overlap joint construction and advanced manufacturing techniques to create a well-balanced rod with a responsive tip action that progressively stiffens through the curve, storing and smoothly releasing energy from the butt. New mandrel tooling and composite pattern designs allow for a semi-tapered butt section with progressive phased tapers, and an adjustable positioning reel seat is included as part of the technology package. This is a powerful rod designed for the harshest conditions, including big seas, storms, rough ground, kelp forests, and targeting large species such as tope, common skate, conger, and big fish in warmer climates like stingers and sharks. It is built to send large baits high and long, and suits anglers with good to excellent casting ability. The X100 has set a British casting record in the hands of Jason Carter, achieving 295.58 meters (323 yards) on 125g and 294 meters (321 yards) on 150g. At 14′ 6″, the length remains manageable for many anglers while still delivering optimum range. The materials in the Eliminator X series build on experience from current Eliminator rods, using Spread Tow Fabric (STF) combined with HPR resin technology and Autoclave Technology to provide AT-T anti-twist properties. The STF surfaces in the butt and lower tip complement the Anti-Twist Technology throughout the rod. STF is derived from Formula One, where it is used extensively in chassis construction for performance.
