Shimano Beastmaster XC 14000 Reel

Description

The Shimano Beastmaster 14000 XC is Shimano's entry-level mid to long range reel, aimed at novice anglers who want to take their carp or surf fishing to the next level, or those on a slimmer budget. It contains features taken directly from more expensive Shimano models, such as Super Slow 5 oscillation and a Parallel body, making it a capable mid to long range casting reel. The large, tough design lives up to the Beastmaster name, and while it is not a match for Shimano's more technically advanced reels, it shares the same G Free Body silhouette as the brand's top long range models. Super Slow 5 oscillation line lay and the Parallel Body help maximise casting distance regardless of experience or ability. The reel still includes a fair amount of advanced technology despite its price point. Super Slow 5 oscillation line lay remains a benchmark that other reels are judged by, and the AR-C spool design matches the profile found on Shimano's best long range reels, both helping to increase casting distance. In use, the smoothness and power of HAGANE Gear is noticeable, while the 4.3:1 gear ratio ensures it retrieves quickly as well as casts far. For confident fish-playing, the 20kg max drag can be quickly adjusted with only a minimal turn of the Instant Drag knob to keep direct control at all times. - 4.3:1 Gear Ratio - Maximum Drag – 20kg (44lb) - Weight – 680g (24oz) - Line capacity (LB-YD) – 12-600, 16-440, 20-330 - Line capacity (MM-M) – 0.35-550, 0.40-400, 0.45-300 - Retrieve per turn – 103cm (41") - Handle length – 90mm - 1+1 Ball Bearing
