Shimano Baitrunner ST RB Reel

Description

The Shimano Baitrunner ST-RB 6000 reel brings Shimano's legendary Baitrunner technology to a more accessible price point, with understated, stealthy graphics that suit modern carp and specialist fishing. It uses Shimano's traditional rear Baitrunner freespool system, giving you confidence when a hard-fighting fish takes your bait. The reel is built around a powerful 4.6:1 gear ratio that delivers smooth, relentless cranking power, making it easier to pump fish through heavy weed or fast river currents. The balanced double handle keeps rotation centred, reducing wobble under pressure. An aluminium AR-C spool with a proprietary angled lip reduces friction as line leaves during a cast, improving distance and reducing wind knots. Shimano's Varispeed line lay system alters the oscillation cam speed to lay monofilament or braid flat, preventing bed-in and ensuring clean line release. The 6000 size is a versatile mid-sized specialist footprint that suits standard specialist rods, medium carp venues, river barbel setups, tench fishing, and predator tactics. The rear freespool tension is fully adjustable, letting you match it to conditions from fast rivers to still waters.
