Sonik Turbospod Carbon 14000 Reel

Description

The Sonik Turbospod Carbon 14000 is a lightweight spod reel built for anglers who prioritise speed and reduced fatigue during long baiting sessions. Its high-strength carbon body and rotor, combined with a heavily machined spool, remove unnecessary weight while retaining durability. The reel delivers up to 18kg of drag and a fast 5.7:1 gear ratio, retrieving 1.45m of line per turn so the spod returns to the surface quickly for the next cast. A stealthy silk black finish with gloss detailing complements the 8+1 shielded stainless steel bearings and super-slow oscillation system, which promotes the flawless line lay needed for extreme distance casting. The reel includes a unique drag removal conversion kit. If used strictly for spodding and never for playing fish, fitting the kit removes additional weight from the front of the reel for better balance on a high-end spod rod. An included finger stall offers protection when casting frequently with thin, high-performance spod braids. - Gear Ratio: 5.7:1 (1.45m retrieval per turn) - Weight: 499g – 529g (configuration dependent) - Max Drag: 18kg - Bearings: 8+1 Shielded Stainless Steel - Body/Rotor: Lightweight High-Strength Carbon - Main Shaft: Hard Anodised Aluminium - Line Clips: Triple Captive with EZ Line Entry - Oscillation: Super-Slow for perfect line lay Typical uses include extreme range baiting beyond 100 yards, high-volume spodding with large quantities of hemp and corn, and competition carp fishing where rapid retrieval and the open-bail rotor lock save valuable time.
