ESP Cryogen Gripper Hooks

Description

The ESP Cryogen Gripper Hooks are designed for demanding carp fishing, prioritising secure hook holds, lasting sharpness, and reliable fish retention. These hooks are the result of over three years of development and field testing, engineered to meet the needs of modern carp anglers. They feature a heavily forged construction made from cryogenically tempered steel, a process that involves super-cooling the hooks to significantly improve their strength, wear resistance, and the durability of the point. Each hook is finished with a Tufflon (PTFE Teflon) coating, which contributes to a smooth surface for easier penetration, reduced reflection for a more discreet presentation on the bottom, and enhanced corrosion resistance. The design of the Cryogen Gripper incorporates a specific hook shape to achieve a firm hold in the fish's mouth, making them suitable for various carp rigs and bait presentations, particularly effective with bottom baits. Key features include: - Long curved point for secure hooking - 10° in-turned eye for an aggressive hooking angle - Micro barb for reliable fish retention (on barbed versions) - Heavily forged construction for greater strength - Very sharp needle point for fast penetration - Tufflon coating for a smooth surface and reduced reflection The hooks are available in barbed and barbless versions, across a range of sizes including 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
