Gardner GT-HD Mainline is a reduced-stretch line that gives excellent feedback to the rod tip when feeling the lead down, and provides improved bite indication at long range. Its smooth finish and supple feel support superior casting performance. GT-HD is formulated to sink quickly and settle flush to the lake bed, and it offers exceptionally high knot strength and high abrasion resistance. The Low-Viz Green colour provides superb camouflage whether you are fishing slack or tight lines. For optimum performance, a Palomar knot is recommended with GT-HD, though Grinner and Fig.8 loops will still exceed the stated breaking strain. Gardner also advises spooling up GT-HD with the label facing upwards, so the line comes off anti-clockwise, and periodically checking for line twist for the best possible results.
