The Korda Dark Matter Leader Heli-Safe is a pre-tied fishing leader engineered for carp anglers utilising helicopter style set-ups, including chod rigs. This leader is designed to provide a safe and effective solution for fishing in various conditions, particularly in weedy or silty environments where lead ejection can be advantageous for landing fish. The construction incorporates a fused material that is impregnated with high-density tungsten collars, ensuring the leader remains pinned to the lake bed across different substrates, thus reducing the chance of spooking wary fish. The Heli-Safe system is integrated into the leader, allowing for immediate lead release when pressure is applied, such as during a take. This helps to prevent hook pulls and maintains direct contact with the fish. For situations where lead ejection is not desired, a locking collar can be inserted to prevent the clip from opening. Additionally, the Chod Safe System is incorporated, which ensures the hook link can easily detach from the leader in the event of a main line breakage, enhancing fish safety. The leader material is noted for its high abrasion resistance. For ease of use, a fused loop is present at one end for simple loop-to-loop attachment to your main line. Hook links can be easily attached via a QC Ring Swivel.
