The Korda Heli Safe Tubing Kit is a conversion system designed to allow anglers to use the popular Heli-Safe System in conjunction with rig tubing. This enables fishing with a helicopter-style rig on venues that have bans on leadcore or leaders, or those that require a length of tubing on the mainline. This kit offers the benefits of a traditional helicopter setup, including strong anti-tangle properties and suitability for long-range casting. A key feature is the ability to adjust the position of the top bead, which dictates how the hook link settles on different types of lakebed, such as hard gravel, low-lying weed, or deep silt. The Korda Heli Safe Tubing Kit integrates a drop-off safety mechanism, allowing the lead to be discharged during a take. This enhances fish safety and helps prevent snags in weedy or snaggy environments. Anglers can also choose to set the system to retain the lead when conditions do not necessitate dropping it. The system features an adapted Heli-Safe 'cap' with a hard plastic 'tail' to secure the tubing. A crucial component, known as the 'witch's hat' plug, is situated inside the Heli-Safe and securely holds the rig tubing in place. The kit is compatible with Korda Dark Matter tungsten rig tubing and Kamo rig tubing. Each pack provides components for two complete set-ups, excluding the rig tubing itself. The kit is available in brown or green finishes, allowing for effective camouflage against varying lakebed colours. It is important to note that this tubing kit is not compatible with the Korda Mini Heli-Safe.
