The Korda Katapult Catapult is a baiting tool designed for carp anglers, re-engineered to enhance user-friendliness and address common issues found in traditional catapults. This range includes three variants to suit different baiting requirements and ranges. Each Korda Katapult features a robust yet lightweight hollow frame constructed from strong nylon, built to endure frequent use. The handle is ergonomically designed with a textured finish, providing a comfortable and secure grip even when hands are wet or covered in bait juices. A key improvement in the Katapult design is the integration of size 10 ball bearing swivels at the elastic-to-frame connection points, which significantly reduces frustrating tangles and twists during use, improving accuracy and speed of baiting. The pouches are reinforced where they attach to the elastic, include drainage holes to prevent bait juice build-up, and are shaped to aid in bait spread. A tag at the back of the pouch ensures a firm grip for consistent bait release and improved accuracy. Both elastics and pouches are replaceable, with spares available for each model. The Korda Katapult range is available in three distinct variants, each identified by a colour-coded frame for easy selection: - **Light (Brown frame)**: Features lighter elastic and a larger pouch, ideal for mass baiting with particles and smaller food items at closer ranges. - **Medium (Green frame)**: Suited for floater fishing and accurately grouping multiple boilies at mid-range distances. - **Heavy (Black frame)**: Equipped with stronger elastic and a smaller pouch, engineered for firing single boilies or a few baits over longer distances with precision. This catapult series is effective for accurately baiting up to approximately 80 yards, depending on bait size, weight, and wind conditions. It allows for spreading bait over an area or precisely placing individual baits like boilies, tiger nuts, or pellets around a rig.
