Description

Carp Care UK Refills is a three-phase carp care system designed to treat cuts, open wounds, ulcers, and mouth damage while fish are being held in a retention sling or carp care bay. The refill kit contains the three treatments needed to clean, protect, and seal injuries during the healing process. Phase 1, Antisepticize, is a non-toxic disinfectant spray that kills and protects against unwanted parasites and bacteria. It keeps cuts, open wounds, and ulcers disinfected while offering relief to the affected area. Phase 2, Propolis, uses bee propolis and its natural anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties to fight off bacterial infections. It contains the flavonoid pinocembrin, which acts as an antifungal, alongside healing compounds such as amino acids, vitamins A, C and E, and minerals including potassium and magnesium. Phase 3, Wound Membrane, is a powder adhesive that acts like a plaster. It absorbs moisture and forms a thick film coat when it contacts lake water, protecting the wound from further damage and supporting the healing process of phases 1 and 2. Instructions for all 3 phases: - Antisepticize Phase 1: Wipe clean and dry the infected area or cut, then spray the localized wound with antisepticize until it is covered. - Propolis Phase 2: Apply propolis directly on top of the disinfectant spray. Do not seal the propolis once applied. - Wound Membrane Phase 3: Apply the powder adhesive over the top of the propolis and seal with lake water. The powder adhesive will deepen in colour as it absorbs the water, forming a plaster that seals the treatment in place. Instructions for 2 phases (mouth damage or small lesions): - Phase 1: Check and wipe dry any mouth damage or small lesions elsewhere on the body. Spray to disinfect the area. For the mouth, one spray is enough. Do not aim directly down towards the throat. For deep hook hold wounds, spray the tip of your finger and apply by gently massaging the area. For small lesions on the flanks, tail or fin damage, a few sprays are more than enough. - Phase 2: Apply propolis directly on top of disinfected sprayed areas. Seal the propolis once applied with lake water. The propolis will turn a lighter colour as it seals. Do not apply any of these treatments around the eyes, nasal passage or gills.
