The JAG 316 Lockdown Rear Grip System is an interchangeable rod grip designed to give the angler full control over how securely the rod is held when fishing locked up. Soft grip inserts are sold separately, allowing the angler to choose the level of grip to suit the situation. For fishing locked up, a tighter insert provides unrivalled security; in testing, the system held firm under a direct pull of three times the test curve before any movement occurred, and with a slight angle the rod does not move at all. The system is fully flexible, and keeping a couple of larger inserts in the tackle box allows for a quick change during a session. The diameter of the rod handle does not matter, as there is a size to fit. Each Lockdown features an easy alignment system, with no washers or 'O' rings to mess with. Simply use the supplied Allen key to tighten the Lockdown to a Buzzbar or Bankstick for first-time perfect alignment and superb tightness.
