The Drennan Specialist Specimen Rod is part of a versatile specimen range equally at home on rivers and stillwaters. Four rods in the family are available in 11ft and 12ft lengths at both 1¼lb and 1½lb test curves, covering species from silverfish through to bigger Chub, Tench and Bream, using a wide variety of tactics including bolt rigs, method feeders, helicopter rigs and running rigs. The 11ft and 12ft 1¼lb models suit a wide range of smaller species such as Roach, Rudd and Perch. With critically spaced, large diameter guides, casting accuracy is excellent, and the progressive power action avoids hook pulls and is a real benefit when playing and landing quality fish. The 1½lb version, again available in 11ft and 12ft, is suited to Chub, Barbel, Tench, Bream and mid-sized Carp. These models have slightly larger diameter guides which improve both distance casting and accuracy. The progressive power action cushions the strike, avoids hook pulls and helps significantly when playing big specimens.
