The Nash Scope OPS Dark Cork Carp Rod is part of an extended premium Scope range, built on 30 tonne high modulus carbon and low resin blanks with a 1k Toray external weave. This construction delivers crisp recovery and a smooth playing curve across all test curves. The OPS blank design uses 45 degree multi directional fibre reinforcement to reduce twist and lateral distortion, focusing energy into precise recovery from heavy loading to improve casting distance and accuracy. Responding to specialised angling demands across Europe, the Scope OPS range now includes CG models with ceramic guide ringing. Ceramic guides offer the most durable ring lining available, preventing wear from repeated contact with the highest diameter braided mainlines or snag and shock leader knots. The range includes new 6ft 3.5lb models, the most powerful 6ft rods yet for the biggest carp. Additional 3.75lb and 4lb test curves in 9ft and 10ft models provide the power for the heaviest leads in strong flows, boating extreme distances, or casting the largest PVA bags or Dot Spods. For anglers unsure about casting potential with shorter rods, Jermaine Hull has cast both 3.75lb and 4lb Scope OPS models over 200 yards in testing. These heaviest test curves also offer uncompromising performance for giant catfish, predator fishing, or sea fishing. Handle options include abbreviated Black Duplon, Olive Duplon, and Dark Cork to suit all preferences. Additional CG (Ceramic Guide) models are available in 9ft and 10ft 3.5lb. All models include the patented Butt Lock Peg connection that can be added to the butt cap, plus additional Scope branding along the sides of handles and at the rear above the butt cap.
