By elongating the shank, the Straight Point is slightly longer than the Wide Gape, and the eye has been turned by 15 degrees. Strength and durability were key considerations in the design. The gauge of the Japanese steel has been stepped up, making the hook as strong as the other X gauge hooks in the Korda range.
