The South Coast Rods SCR ST Ci Carp Rod is a new-for-2026 addition to the SCR ST range, extending the line-up with a version of the ST blank fitted with what the manufacturer describes as the best guide set they could source: the AT TiForged Titanium Pentalites. During testing, these guides outperformed all others in casting distance, smoothness of retrieve, and durability, thanks to their snag-less design, titanium frame, and slim-profile traditional ceramic insert. The rod is designed to deliver optimum performance regardless of the mainline used. The SCR ST range was developed over two and a half years of testing and refinement, with the aim of producing a premium blank built from quality, reliable components and advanced carbon technology. The 10ft blank is intended for fishing close in to snags and reed lines on small or large lakes, at medium range, or from a boat. Its special taper provides forgiveness under the rod tip to help avoid bumping fish off, while the butt section retains power for casting to medium range with pinpoint accuracy.
