The Shimano Aero Pro Landing Net range is designed to combine practicality and reliability while maintaining high fish welfare standards. The frame is made from a strong, durable, lightweight extruded anodised aluminium that holds its shape under demanding conditions, even when large fish are encountered. It is secured into a high-impact, ultra strong polycarbonate (ABS) spreader block using a dual screw attachment for fail-safe performance, and finished with a standard 3/8" metal screw thread. A wide range of sizes covers all situations and preferences. At the smaller end, the 14" (36cm) suits canal-sized silver fish, the 16" (40cm) and 18" (46cm) work well for larger silver fish or smaller F1 carp, and the largest 20" (50cm) and 22" (56cm) handle the biggest commercial carp. The extruded aluminium frame diameter is the same for all nets, so anglers who prefer smaller nets for match carp fishing do not sacrifice strength. The soft fish-friendly mesh uses a two-size design, with a larger diameter 5mm side wall and a finer 3mm bottom mesh to reduce snagging of hooks and hair rigs while still allowing the net to move swiftly through the water. Additional stitching on stress points minimises wear.
