Shakespeare Salt XT Beachcaster 14ft and Fixed Spool Reel Combo

Description

The Shakespeare Salt XT beachcaster is a 14ft rod built on a medium-fast tapered carbon blank. The low-diameter blank is powerful and strong, with an action that gives a deeper feel and lets you switch between techniques to suit conditions, while helping reduce the risk of losing a fish and still managing easy long-range performance. The X-wrap shrink handle provides extra grip on long casts, and the rubber bulb at the end of the butt section protects the rod and makes fishing more comfortable. A special sliding reel seat means the rod can be used with either a fixed spool reel or a multiplier. The Shakespeare Salt reel is pre-spooled and aimed at newer anglers who want value for money. It comes in three sizes: a 6000 size suited to boat fishing or short-distance surfcasting, and 7000 and 8000 sizes suited to long-distance surfcasting.
