The Quantum Cabo is a saltwater spinning reel with more than 20 years of development behind it, now in its third generation. Fully sealed against water, salt and sand, it is lighter in the hand than previous models while retaining the sealing and drag performance the range is known for. It is built to handle regular saltwater sessions without extra babying between trips. The Sealoq™ 8 system seals the gear box and drag to IPX8 standards, keeping water, salt and sand out where it matters most. GEARTEQ™ machined gearing gives a precise, refined gear feel with strong cranking power and a longer working life than traditional cut gears. The CFX200™ Carbon Fiber Extreme Drag System provides best-in-class maximum drag and a smooth drag curve for control from the first run to the fish at your feet. The CASTEQ slow oscillation design lays line evenly on the spool, improving casting distance and control, particularly with braid. A high-strength aluminium frame and sideplate keep gears, bearings and seals in alignment under heavy, sustained drag pressure. It suits inshore sessions for bass, pollack and general lure and bait fishing, rock and beach marks where sand, spray and saltwater exposure are constant, and boat fishing where wash-down decks and repeated saltwater contact are unavoidable.
