The Daiwa Air Tech 16m Pole Package is Daiwa's flagship match fishing pole, built at their UK facility for anglers who need instant response, balance and structural strength at full 16-metre length. To achieve its stiffness and handling, Daiwa redesigned 98 distinct material patterns, layering 20 different Japanese pre-impregnated carbons and zoning different carbon modulus ratings along the stress points of the blank. The result is a pole that reacts quickly to small wrist movements while retaining the power to steer large carp away from snags. The blank is built on Daiwa's Hyper Multi-Strand Graphite (MSG), an ultra-low-resin, high-density carbon bonded at a molecular level using Nanoplus resin technology, which aligns the fibres to increase hoop strength and impact resistance without adding unnecessary weight. Every joint uses Bias Carbon V-JOINTa, a 45-degree bias-cut carbon wrap that lets the pole flex in a continuous curve under tension, reducing flat spots and extending joint life.
