The Preston Ascension Feeder Rod is part of a family of rods designed to excel at natural water fishing. Each model offers a crisp action that gives the correct casting action for its length while retaining a fish-playing action suited to the species being targeted. The Ascension series was developed with international anglers Lee Kerry and Arnout Van De Stadt, who wanted a range that would cope with fishing all venues in Europe. The 3.2m and 3.4m models are suited to short-range work, with soft actions that make them ideal for targeting roach, skimmers and bream at short to medium range. The 3.6m 60g is the all-rounder of the range, with a dynamic action that allows a large range of feeders to be fished at 60 metres while retaining a subtle touch for playing fish. Where longer casts are required, the 3.8m 80g and 4.0m 120g deliver the performance needed. All Ascension rods are supplied with three carbon quivertips that blend into the Ascension range. Ascension 3.2m (10ft 8in) 30g Short-range work is vital for continued success when fishing the feeder, and this rod is purpose designed to target roach and skimmers with small hooks and lighter lines. It is supplied with the following quivertips: - 0.5oz carbon quivertip - 0.75oz carbon quivertip - 1oz carbon quivertip Ascension 3.4m (11ft 4in) 40g Ideal for medium-range feeder work with feeders up to 40g. At 3.4m in length it provides the soft action needed to use small hooks and light lines, but has enough power in reserve to ensure bigger fish can be dealt with. Ascension 3.6m (12ft) 60g The ultimate all-rounder in the Ascension family, designed as a feeder rod that could do it all. Perfect for skimmers and bream from 30m to 60m with a range of different feeder sizes. Ascension 3.8m (12ft 6in) 80g A power-packed rod capable of punching feeders a long way. It has a dynamic action that gives it immense casting potential without compromising the fish-playing action. Ascension 4.0m (13ft 2in) 120g For long casts, the immense power of the 4.0m Ascension helps you hit long-distance marks with ease. As well as launching feeders to the horizon, it is also well suited to big river fishing when you are faced with powerful flow.
