Akios Utopia SX8

Description

The Akios Utopia SX8 is a high-performance long distance casting reel built to handle specimen-sized fish. Its full carbon body is both tough and ultra-lightweight, weighing just 530g, making it the lightest reel of its kind ever produced by Akios. A 39lb quick set carbon drag system gives it considerable stopping power. Casting performance is central to the design. Slow oscillation lays line evenly across the full length of the angled lip long cast spool, which reduces line friction and translates into noticeably greater casting distances. The lightweight build also gives a more balanced feel on the rod and allows for increased hand speed during the cast, improving acceleration through the swing.
