Description
The Savage Gear Defiance SG6 Egi Spinning Rod is an 8'6" two-piece model built for egi-style squid fishing, sized for the casting and handling characteristics typical of that length. It follows current Japanese thinking on getting the most from an egi, with shorter stock lengths that reduce wrist impact and increase the length above the handle to help achieve longer casts than traditional egi rods of the same length. That extra space produces a better curve, which can help squid hook more easily and reduce tearing.
