West Coast Custom Popping Rods are built for serious saltwater anglers, combining 24-tonne carbon and E-glass with 3K woven carbon outer wraps for hoop strength and durability. The ALPS aluminium reel seat and BXNZG stainless steel guides with Alconite inserts support smooth, reliable casting of heavy lures up to 200 grammes, while oversized guides accommodate large knots and heavy leaders. A pronounced tip action maximises casting distance whilst preserving fighting power through the blank. At 8'3" and two-piece, the rod handles lures from 30-200 grammes and lines from 30-100 lb, suiting UK shark, bluefin tuna, tarpon, sailfish, roosterfish, yellow tail and giant trevally.
