The PENN Affinity III Spod Longcast is a reel built specifically for spodding and marking, with the durability and line capacity those jobs demand. It shares its cosmetics with the rest of the Affinity III range, but has been upgraded in the areas that matter most for repeated long-range work. A 5.0:1 gear ratio delivers a recovery rate of 120cm per turn, so rigs and spods come back quickly. The large egg-shaped handle knob adds grip and comfort during fast retrieves. PENN's CNC gear technology is used for strength and long-term durability, while the 7 sealed stainless steel ball bearings keep running smooth under load. The extra slow oscillation system, paired with a long stroke and a shallow, conical spool, produces a consistent line lay with both mono and braided lines, which helps achieve extreme casting distance.
