The Daiwa Saltist Surf 12 ft 6 in 2pc 100-200g is a multiplier-model beach rod built for the shore angler who wants distance and control from a modern carbon blank. Rated for a 100 g to 200 g casting range, it will launch standard 4 oz to 7 oz leads and bait a long way, including into a strong headwind. The action balances power delivery through the cast with enough tip sensitivity to register bites. The rod is designed specifically for multiplier reels, with a guide pattern and reel seat configuration intended to get the most from a revolving spool.
