The Shimano Vanford is a spinning reel built for finesse fishing, with a super-fast start-up that makes it responsive from the first turn of the handle. It replaces the Stradic Ci4+ and carries over its lightweight Ci4+ body construction while adding a range of technology upgrades. The MGL rotor is 48% lighter to turn than a standard rotor design, and the reel combines Micromodule Gear II with Silent Drive for smooth, quiet operation. The Hagane Gear has been upgraded for added strength, while X-Protect delivers high-level water resistance without sacrificing light gear and rotor rotation, raising the durability of the roller clutch and line roller to an IPX8 standard.
