The Vision XLS Meri is a saltwater fly reel that draws on the design of the popular 7/8 XLV Kust, updated with a series of upgrades aimed squarely at coastal and inshore tropical fishing. At its centre is a newly designed, fully sealed saltwater drag system: a robust disc brake configuration engineered from the ground up to meet the demands of saltwater anglers. Sealed with O-rings and packed with SKF grease, the smooth, fully adjustable drag is built to cope with harsh coastal and inshore tropical environments. The reel uses a rock-solid heraldic V-frame and a full cage design for strength and rigidity when fighting fish. Its large arbour delivers fast line retrieval, and the optimised dimensions suit #7 and #8 lines, making it a natural choice for coastal sea-trout, bass and smaller tropical species such as bonefish. The metallic electric blue finish is colour-matched to Vision's Meri and Merisuola rods.
