The Team Vass 230 Winter Lined Smock in Grey/Black is a waterproof, windproof and insulated fishing smock built on Vass-Tex 230 fabric with a 20,000mm hydrostatic head rating. It is designed to keep you warm and dry without the bulk of a heavier garment, so you can still cast, net a fish and move along the bank freely. The waterproofing uses Vass's Permanent Waterproof Fabric Coating Technology, which is built into the fabric itself rather than applied as a surface finish. That means no reproofing, no drop-off in performance after washing, and none of the PTFE repellent chemicals that can wash back into rivers and coastline. The outer sheds water rather than soaking it up, so the smock dries quickly between trips, and RDT (Rapid Dissipate Technology) moves internal body moisture out through the fabric to keep you dry from sweat as well as rain. The fabric is also salt-water and abrasion resistant, and all seams are welded throughout. It suits winter bank sessions for carp, pike or barbel, sea and shore fishing on exposed marks, boat and kayak fishing where there is nowhere to shelter from spray, night sessions where the reflective arm and shoulder branding keeps you visible, and match or pleasure fishing in changeable weather.
