Description

The Lew's Super Duty Wide Speed Spool Reel is built around a one-piece aluminium frame and handle sideplate, paired with a lightweight graphite palming sideplate. Both sideplates carry a SoftTouch rubber paint finish for grip and durability. Inside, high strength solid brass Speed Gears are cut on precision Hamai CNC machines, and the reel runs on a premium 11-bearing system combining double shielded stainless steel ball bearings with a Zero Reverse one-way clutch bearing. The braid ready, double anodized U-shape forged aluminium spool measures 35mm, and line is guided by a friction reducing titanium coated Zirconia line guide. Braking is handled by the Magnetic Control System (MCS), which uses an external control to adjust the magnetic brake system. Spool tension control and the bowed star drag are both double anodized and feature audible click adjustment, while the rugged carbon fibre drag system delivers up to 9.1kg of drag power.
