The Shimano Aero X7A Distance Feeder Rod is the 13ft 6in heavy-hitter of the Aero X7 range, built for extreme distance and high-torque situations. When fish are holding 100 yards out or a river is in full flood, this is the model designed to reach them. The blank is high-modulus carbon enhanced with HPC (High Pressure Carbon), Nanosheet and Diaflash technology, giving it immense recovery speed — it launches rather than simply casts. Despite a 130g casting rating, the rod weighs just 301g, so it stays slim and light enough to keep casting at speed through a long match without fatigue. Oversized Fuji Alconite KR-Type guides reduce friction when running heavy shock leaders, and the rod is finished with a Fuji VSS reel seat. The larger KR-Type guides are also intended to pass the thicker knots associated with heavy braid or mono shock leaders cleanly.
