Preston Innovations has developed the Euro Carp 1000 STR Margin Pole as part of its next-generation STR range, built on the same mandrel as the Euro Carp series so that it remains fully compatible with existing Euro Carp poles from butt to tip. The range shares one mandrel across all five poles, making them fully interchangeable, and introduces a new generation of top kits designed around simplicity: every top kit in the range is identical, so the same top-quality kits fit the 8.5m Edge pole through to the top-of-the-range STR 1300. The top kits include two power kits (290cm) available in black or grey, a 3pc version (440cm) in black for deeper venues, and a 1pc short kit (185cm) that can be extended back to the full 290cm using the short kit extender. Each top kit has depth markers at 1cm intervals, which help when adjusting depths, shotting patterns and the distance between float and connector. Margin fishing has grown in popularity as large fish are often found close to the bank, and the STR Margin is both strong and rigid, so it can be fished comfortably at any length up to its full 10m — useful when fish move further along the bank.
