Westin W8 Powercast-T 2nd

Description

The Westin W8 Powercast-T 2nd Generation is a heavy casting rod built for pike fishing, balancing power with ease of use. It handles the regular pike lures in your box while retaining enough backbone for bigger fish. At 7 feet 9 inches (2.36m), the length suits all-day casting from both boat and bank, giving the leverage needed for larger baits without becoming unwieldy. The 40–130g rating covers most heavy shads, hybrid lures, swimbaits and big jerkbaits. The rod is built on an ultra-fast, lightweight Toray TORAYCA T1100GC and M40JB blank. This carbon construction transfers every nuance of the lure's movement, keeping you in contact with the bait and helping you detect soft takes. Despite its XXH power, the blank remains responsive with a sensitive tip, so smaller pike are still enjoyable to fight. The ultra-fast action loads deep and recovers quickly, translating into long-distance casts whether you are fishing from a fixed position or constantly moving. This casting model features a trigger grip and FUJI components throughout. - Reel Seat: Lightweight Fuji T2C carbon with a trigger grip (the -T) for casting precision and ergonomic control with a multiplier reel. - Guides: Tangle-free Fuji SIC guides, heavy-duty and designed to minimise friction when casting heavy baits on thick braided line. - Aesthetics: Finished in a Mermagic and FE2O3 iron oxide blank colour. The rod pairs well with a Westin size 300 BaitCaster reel. - Model: W8 Powercast-T 2nd Generation - Length: 7'9" (2.36m) - Casting Weight: Extra-Extra-Heavy (XXH) – 40–130g - Action: Ultra-Fast - Sections: 2-piece - Handle: Trigger Grip (Casting Rod) - Target Species: Pike (Esox), Musky - Blank Material: Toray Torayca T1100GC and M40JB - Guides: Tangle-free Fuji SIC guides - Reel Seat: Fuji T2C Carbon - Hook-Keeper: Seaguide arc hook 2.5 - Included: Neoprene Rod Bag and Recyclable Triangular Cardboard Box - Quality: Unique serial number on each rod
