Description
The Black Magic Tackle Equalizer Twin Pin Pro Set is a gimbal and harness system designed to take the load off your arms and back during long fights with big fish. The padding uses sports medicine technology, similar in construction to the material used in rugby headgear, to improve comfort and blood circulation while you are hooked up. The result is that you can apply noticeably more pressure than with other systems — the equivalent of pulling 30 pounds over the rod tip feels like pulling 20 pounds. It also suits anglers with a bad back, since the harness carries the strain rather than your body. More stability comes from a design that eliminates sideways movement of the gimbal under load, which matters most in sloppy seas. More leverage comes from the patented recessed gimbal pin, positioned low down and further back than other systems so your body weight works to maximum advantage. The webbing belt can be worn all day, and when a strike comes the gimbal slips on in seconds. The set is designed and manufactured in New Zealand using the best materials available. Black Magic Equalizer Twin Pin Pro features: - NEW Twin Pin Pro Gimbal - Webbing belt / drop straps - Equaliser Harness - Carry bag Correct posture and technique: 1. POSTURE — This is the correct posture to take when a fish is taking line from your reel. Your knees should be slightly bent and your feet slightly apart. Your back will be slightly arched so your body weight is supported correctly by the harness. Your arms should be feeling very little strain, as the harness takes all the load, leaving your hands free. 2. TECHNIQUE — This is the correct technique to lift your fish and gain line once your fish has stopped taking line. Your knees should be slightly more bent. Your back is still slightly arched and supported by the harness, but the load is increased on the harness by effectively 'sitting' in it. As you sit in the harness and transfer weight, your rod will lift the fish. 3. THE GRIND — Your rod is at its heightened position and is loaded to its full potential. Once you've lifted the fish, wind on line while you lower your rod and then repeat. At all stages you should have the rod slightly bent, thus keeping a constant pressure on the fish.
