The Guru Aventus R Waggler Rod is the flagship of the Tackle Guru Aventus R range, the successor to the Aventus series. The "R" stands for "Reborn", reflecting a comprehensive redesign in both materials and engineering. The result is a float rod range built for performance, durability and precision across running line tactics. The Aventus R Float range covers commercial pellet waggler fishing through to natural water waggler and slider work. It opens with 10ft and 11ft two-piece rods aimed at modern commercial waggler fishing, and finishes with 13ft, 14ft and 15ft three-piece models built for natural water waggler fishing. The 10ft and 11ft two-piece rods are designed primarily for commercial pellet waggler fishing, targeting carp and F1s. Their blanks have a robust power backbone that handles pellet wagglers up to 15g, giving the casting weight and fish-playing authority to subdue hard-fighting, double-figure carp. Despite that power reserve, the tip section retains finesse, so smaller F1s and even silverfish can be landed with confidence on lighter lines. The compact lengths make them quick and easy to handle, which suits high-intensity pellet waggler sessions where rapid, repetitive casting and swift fish control matter. Three further models, all three-piece, cover natural water waggler fishing across venues from small lakes to large reservoirs and flowing rivers. The 14ft model is a new addition to the range, developed mainly for big waggler and slider fishing on deep stillwaters where line pickup speed is crucial, and it also suits stick float and waggler fishing on rivers with superior line control. The 15ft model offers the ultimate in line control for river work, while the 13ft remains the versatile standard for general waggler fishing. Zero90X Carbon Technology is a significant upgrade over the original Zero90 material used in the previous generation. It adds a new carbon layer with X-weave fibres positioned between the zero-degree and 90-degree carbon sheets. This composite structure creates a new blank architecture that reduces the twisting and torquing forces that occur during casting. By minimising deviation under maximum compression, Zero90X produces a much faster-action blank. The reduction in torque lets the tip recover more quickly, helping anglers cast further with more control and accuracy. Because the blank resists twisting, energy transfer is linear and direct, which improves accuracy. The RJS Rigid Joint System integrates Zero90X material within the Reinforced Ferrule at each joint to maintain structural consistency and power transfer along the whole length of the rod. This produces a seamless, power-progressive blank curve that mimics the feel of a one-piece rod. The main benefit is the elimination of "flat spots" or stiff points at the joint connections, preserving fish-playing action under heavy load.
