The Guru Impulse Liquid Hollow Elastic is a hollow latex pole elastic built around a premium quality, silicone-soaked latex with a sealed liquid core running through its centre. The construction floods the inside of the hollow with a controlled silicone fill, which keeps the elastic supple, consistent and evenly weighted through the top kit. On the strike, the elastic stretches progressively on the run, absorbing the initial lunge of hard-fighting silverfish, F1s and lively smaller carp without the kick back at the hook that anglers often see, before settling into a controlled, even pull as the fish comes back toward the net. The liquid-filled core feeds into the overall stretch profile, so performance stays consistent and controlled. Where an unfilled hollow can flatten at the extremes of pressure and then feel bumpy and sticky as it retracts into the top kit, the liquid fill dampens that response and smooths out the peaks and troughs, giving a silky, even response under pressure. The range is designed to cover virtually every pole fishing situation a modern angler is likely to face. Nine graded sizes run from 1.5mm rated a No.6 — suited to small silverfish on the canal, winter commercial silverfish and F1 work — up in controlled increments to the thickest and most powerful option, 3.4mm rated a No.22, for targeting large double-figure commercial carp. The graded sizes close every gap between those two extremes, so the range covers small silverfish and F1s right through to the largest commercial carp. Each pack is supplied in a practical 5-metre length, enough to comfortably cut two standard 2.4m top kits or three F1-style 1.8m top kits, with elastic to spare.
