Description

The NuFish Cypri is a heavy-duty all-rounder in the NuFish inline pole float range, built to cope with the demands of modern commercial fisheries where match weights and individual fish sizes continue to climb. It suits a wide range of technical baiting presentations. The float combines a centre-bore inline configuration with an advanced shape memory alloy stem, giving maximum stability when deck fishing while staying responsive enough to read delicate bites on the drop. Rohacell foam construction: the body is made from Rohacell foam, a high-density, closed-cell aerospace polymer. It is impermeable to water and highly resistant to cracking or denting when struck against landing net rims, fishing platforms or far-bank structures. Precision tooling tolerances: every float body is machined to exact dimensional metrics, so each unit behaves the same on your rig tray. Power eye and central inline channel: the mainline passes directly through the core axis of the float rather than an external side eye. This distributes line tension evenly through the Rohacell core, preventing the line from ripping out of the float wall during high-impact battles with double-figure fish. NiTi shape memory alloy stem: the Cypri is fitted with a NiTi wire stem. This titanium-nickel alloy offers underwater stability, kicking the float upright as soon as it hits the surface film. Unlike standard stainless steel wire, NiTi has shape memory — it can be bent, flexed or twisted during frantic catching sessions and springs back straight every time. 1.75mm hi-visibility bristle: a translucent hollow plastic tip that balances visibility and sensitivity. It allows ambient light to pass through, making it stand out against dark banking shadows or rippled water, and it can be dotted down to show the most tentative winter lifter bites. The Cypri range covers an extensive weight spectrum, suiting everything from shallow canal lines to deep open-water feeder tracks. - 4x10: approximate capacity 0.10g; target depth 1.5 feet to 3 feet; optimal baits expanders, maggots and small 4mm hard pellets. - 4x12: approximate capacity 0.20g; target depth 2.5 feet to 4 feet; optimal baits soft pellets, meat cubes and sweetcorn. - 4x14: approximate capacity 0.40g; target depth 4 feet to 6 feet; optimal baits double corn, hard pellets and large bread punches. - 4x16: approximate capacity 0.50g; target depth 5 feet to 8 feet; optimal baits heavy bunches of maggots, worms and big pellets. - 4x18: approximate capacity 0.75g; target depth 7 feet to 12 feet plus; optimal baits large meat cubes, big paste setups and deep water traps. Because the NiTi wire stem acts as a keel to stabilise the float, the Cypri works well for a technical on-the-drop supple rig. When fish are sitting off the bottom in mid-water, use a 4x12 or 4x14 and space out your shotting pattern with a sequence of small No.10 or No.11 shot distributed evenly down the lower half of your mainline in a shirt-button style spread. As your bait falls slowly through the water layers, the heavy NiTi wire keeps the float body tracking straight, making it easier to spot line-stops or wrap-arounds before the bait reaches the deck. Ideal applications: - All-round commercial open-water tactics: a choice for general pole lines targeted at mixed nets of carp, F1s, skimmers and quality crucians. - Precision deck fishing over pellets: the stable NiTi wire stem cuts through surface tow and wind currents, keeping your hookbait still on top of your loose feed pile. - Heavy bait presentations: the buoyant 1.75mm hollow tip has enough support to handle heavy commercial baits such as large pieces of sweetcorn, cubes of luncheon meat or expanders without sinking falsely under the bait's own weight. What is the benefit of a NiTi wire stem compared to a carbon stem? A carbon stem is exceptionally light and offers a slow, natural fall of the bait, but it can wobble in windy conditions or under heavy surface tow. A NiTi wire stem is heavier, sinking the bottom of the float instantly to pull the rig into a straight, stable vertical line. This makes wire the premium choice when you want to pin your bait firmly to the lakebed and eliminate false registrations caused by wind waves. Can I use these floats when fishing with soft paste? While the Cypri can handle small paste setups when left slightly proud out of the water, its sibling in the inline range, the NuFish Paste float, is optimised specifically with thicker tips for heavy paste work. For standard expander pellets, sweetcorn and meat tactics, the 1.75mm bristle on the Cypri provides a balance of visual clarity and minimal resistance. Are the tips painted or made from coloured material? NuFish uses high-grade, pre-coloured translucent hollow plastic for the bristles. Because the colour is locked within the plastic polymer itself rather than relying on a heavy coat of exterior paint, the tips remain bright, do not peel or chip over time, and allow maximum light transmission in low-light conditions.
