The Evolve Tackle Drop Off In-Line Inserts let you tune an in-line drop off set-up for improved performance and fish safety. They are designed to work with Evolve In-Line Weights and will also fit many other in-line lead products. The inserts work in conjunction with the Evolve In-Line Tail Rubber, which is sold separately. Each insert has two swivel fittings, marked externally with a "+" and a "-", offering different release forces so the set-up can be tuned to the size of weight or lead being used, the leader being used, and the demands of the situation — in other words, how much force is needed to pull the swivel out of the insert, and therefore how quickly the weight or lead is dropped. - "-" is typically for weights and leads up to 3oz - "+" is typically for weights and leads over 3oz - Both settings can be configured differently to achieve a specific operation The insert has two axial grooves of different sizes to guide your line or leader, catering for all line and leader options. This also allows further tuning of how the weight or lead drops, by adjusting how easily the line or leader slides through the tail rubber. The insert can be cut to length using the cutting ridge guides moulded into the stem section. The length of stem sticking out of the weight or lead, up to a maximum of 4 ridges or 10mm, can be adjusted to tune the drop further, with less length giving a quicker drop.
