Description
The Sakura Cheburashka Sinker is a modular bottom-rigging system for soft plastics, built around a precision-cast pierced sinker and a removable stainless steel staple, or clip. Rather than moulding the hook into the lead as a jig head does, the Cheburashka design joins weight and hook through that clip, giving the lure a direct but flexible connection to the weight. The result is a soft plastic that can float, roll and glide independently of the sinker, producing a more natural, fluid action than a fixed hook presentation. Because the weight is held by a staple rather than tied on, you can swap sinkers in seconds without re-tying your leader or changing your hook, moving from a 3g weight to a 10g weight as the current picks up or as you move into deeper water, all while keeping the same lure on the hook. The internal staple is shaped to pass cleanly through the hook eye, so the lure sits straight and swims true, and the design is optimised for Sakura Offset TWG 671 BN hooks. Fished with an offset, weedless hook, the rig crawls over rocks and through kelp with far fewer hang-ups. - Type: Pierced Round Sinker (Cheburashka Style) - Material: High-Density Alloy - System: Removable Stainless Steel Internal Staple - Compatibility: Optimized for Sakura Offset TWG 671 BN hooks - Action: High-Mobility 360-degree Pivot - Pack Size: Varies by weight (contact us for specific counts) Where it works: - Rocky Coastlines and Piers: suited to Lure Fishing for Bass (LRF) or targeting Wrasse in snag-heavy areas, where the independent movement lets the lure drop into cracks and crevices more naturally. - Canals and Slow Rivers: a deadly way to present small creature baits or shads for Perch and Zander, with the pivot action letting the lure stay in one place and shimmer on the slightest rod movement. - Estuary Mudflats: a heavier sinker puffs the mud on the bottom, mimicking a fleeing crab or goby, while the lure flutters freely behind the weight. - Deep Water Reefs: larger sinkers in the Cheburashka system get small lures down to great depths without compromising their delicate swimming action. For the ultimate presentation, use a buoyant soft plastic. The weight will sit on the bottom while your lure stands tail-up in the current, looking exactly like a small fish feeding on the seabed.
