The Tronixpro MkIV Tip Light is a high-visibility LED bite indicator built for night fishing. It clips to the rod tip and gives a clear visual signal of line movement, so you can watch for bites without repeatedly switching on a headlamp. Can the batteries be replaced, or is it a disposable unit? The Axia MKIV is fully reusable. Once the factory-supplied batteries drain after several hundred hours of fishing, simply unscrew the watertight housing, slide out the old batteries, and replace them with standard, readily available watch cells. Will casting heavy 5oz or 6oz leads throw the light off the rod? Not if mounted properly. Because the light sits securely within its custom plastic clip and weighs a mere 6g, it creates virtually zero inertia. When taped down securely, it will easily withstand the extreme acceleration forces of a full pendulum or off-the-ground power cast. Which colour is best for long-distance bite visibility? While white and yellow are exceptionally bright, green and red are the most popular choices among shore anglers. Green light is incredibly easy for the human eye to track against a pitch-black sky over long durations without causing visual fatigue, while red preserves your natural night vision when adjusting your reel or baiting up.
