Preston Innovations has designed the Euro Carp 1300 STR pole as part of its next generation of long poles built specifically for carp fishing in Europe. The STR range uses the same mandrel as the existing Euro Carp range, so it remains fully compatible with previous models from butt to tip, while making use of the latest carbon technology. The range covers five poles that all share this mandrel and are therefore fully interchangeable, along with a new generation of top kits. The design priorities behind the range were comfort, power, balance, compatibility and precision. Every pole in the range uses identical top kits, so the same top quality, fully interchangeable kits are supplied whether you choose the 8.5m Edge or the flagship STR 1300. The top kit line-up includes two power kits at 290cm, available in black or grey, a three-piece 440cm version in black for deeper venues, and a one-piece 185cm short kit that can be extended back to the full 290cm using the short kit extender. Each top kit has depth markers at 1cm intervals, which help when adjusting depths, shotting patterns and the distance between float and connector.
