The Alutecnos Albacore Two Speed 130 is a big game lever drag reel built for 130lb class fishing. It is a natural technological evolution of the One Speed model, inheriting several features that have not been used in other two speed lever drag reels, including the infinite anti-reverse system and a right flange machined as a single component through CNC processing. Gear changes are handled by a two-button unit, making the shift between speeds rapid, simple and intuitive. Like the one speed model, the reel is equipped with five protected stainless steel bearings, stainless steel gears and a drag washer made from the latest carbon composite. These characteristics are intended to help the reel endure long battles while maintaining even, powerful braking, smooth winding and eliminating stick-slip. All parts are machined from a bar of special aluminium alloy developed for marine environments, using CNC processes and subject to rigorous dimensional checks. Raw materials and components are carefully selected, and all aluminium parts are polished, ultrasonically cleaned, buffed and finished with gold or silver anodizing.
