The Evolve Tackle Weight Clip Run Ring System Kit is a lead clip arrangement that converts to free running once a fish is hooked. The weight sets the hook, then the system transforms to free running, so the fish cannot use the weight to eject the hook and the angler does not need to drop the weight. It is designed to work with Evolve Swivel Weights but is also compatible with other swivel lead products. The Clip has two swivel fittings, marked "+" and "-", which have different release forces so the set-up can be tuned to the size of weight being used or the demands of the swim. The markings are external on the Clip for easy identification. The "-" fitting is typically for weights up to 3oz, while the "+" fitting is typically for weights over 3oz, though the system can be configured differently to achieve a specific operation. For storage, the central channel of the Clip can house the swivel eye with the eye sitting vertically in the slot, so the clip is not loaded unnecessarily. The system can be stored with the swivel eye in either the "+" or "-" engagement, but for optimal longevity the swivel eye should be positioned in the slot. Alternatively, the Clip can be slid up the line or leader and off the swivel when not in use. The Clip features a side hole so the swivel can be restrained with PVA for use with mesh PVA bags. The rubber Plug holds the set-up under light tension in use and becomes a shock absorbing bead once free running.
