The ultra-light tips (0.25oz to 0.75oz) are used for highly sensitive bite detection, making them ideal for shy-biting fish in calm, still waters or during the colder winter months. The heavier tips (1.5oz to 2.5oz) are used to handle larger feeders, cast greater distances, and hold steady against stronger river currents without constantly bending out of shape.
