Nytro Impax Commercial Carp Feeder Rod

Description

The Nytro Impax Commercial Carp Feeder range is a workhorse series built for the modern match angler. These rods have been used, abused and tested to the limit on some of the UK's most demanding commercial waters, so they can withstand the relentless pressure of high-weight sessions. If you want a rod that combines raw durability with a refined playing action, the Impax series offers strong value without compromise. Built on a 24T carbon-curve blank, these rods feature a through-action. This progressive curve is engineered to cushion the initial bolt of a carp, while slowly engaging the powerful mid-section to give you the backbone needed to boss fish toward the net. Whether you are flicking a small bomb on a winter's day or launching heavy method feeders in the height of summer, the Impax range delivers consistent accuracy and total control. The rods feature a half-matt black finish, gunsmoke anodized guides and a hybrid cork and EVA handle. Each rod is supplied with two dedicated carbon quiver tips, allowing you to tailor your bite detection to the target species and weather conditions. - Blank Material: Progressive 24T Carbon-Curve - Action: Through-Action with hidden power reserves - Quiver Tips: 2 x Dedicated Carbon Tips (1oz and 2oz) - Guides: High-quality Gunsmoke Anodized - Handle: Performance Cork and EVA Hybrid - Reel Seat: Secure Screw-down Hood - Finish: Half-matt Black / Epoxy Varnished Wrappings - Range: 5 Different Models available - Storage: Supplied in a branded rod bag Where to use the Impax Carp Feeder: - High-Weight Commercial Matches: This is the rod for those days when you expect to put 100lb+ in the net. It is designed to take the strain of constant casting and playing large, hard-fighting carp. - Method and Hybrid Feeder Work: The 24T carbon blank is tuned for the wrap-around bites associated with the Method feeder, ensuring the rod doesn't crack off under a sudden, violent take. - Marginal Feeder Fishing: The shorter models in the range are ideal for casting tight to island margins or down the edge, where you need a shorter blank to maneuver in tight pegs. Gerry's Pro Tip: "The beauty of the Impax 24T blank is its ability to absorb pressure under the rod tip. When a big carp is 'nodding' its head right before you net it, don't be tempted to reel in too much; let the rod's progressive action do the work. I always recommend using a Nytro Impax MK2 4000 or 5000 reel with these rods — the balance is spot on, and it gives you the cranking power to keep those fish moving toward the mesh without having to pump the rod excessively."
