Penn Ally II Offshore Casting Travel Rod

Description

The Penn Ally II Offshore Casting Travel Rod is a 7-foot 7-inch (2.31m) 4-piece travel rod built for anglers who need a balance of casting agility and deep-water pulling power. Its shorter length acts as a more powerful lever, reducing physical strain during stand-up battles with pelagic species while still allowing maximum pressure to be applied to the fish. The blank is made from premium carbon materials, designed to be sensitive and responsive without the "dead spots" often found in travel rods, delivering a smooth power curve similar to a one-piece blank. It is optimised for lures up to 120g, suiting medium-to-large stickbaits and heavy casting jigs, with the snap needed to work lures effectively and the recovery speed for long, accurate casts. The rod is rated for 35lb to 60lb braid, offering finesse for species like Dorado and Roosterfish while retaining the backbone for Schoolie Tuna and Amberjack. It is equipped with Fuji SiC guides for heat dissipation and durability during high-speed runs, a Fuji DPS reel seat, and high-density EVA grips for comfort in salt and spray. The 4-piece construction makes it travel-friendly, and it is suited to techniques such as stickbaiting for tuna, tropical reef casting for Snapper, Jacks, and Grouper, and heavy boat spinning in locations like the Mediterranean or Florida Keys. - Length: 7' 7" (2.31m) - Max Lure Weight: 120g (Approx. 4.2oz) - Line Rating: 35lb – 60lb Braid - Sections: 4-Piece (Travel Friendly) - Guides: Fuji SiC (Saltwater Proof / Heat Resistant) - Reel Seat: High-Quality Fuji DPS - Handle: High-Density EVA - Included: Luxury Padded Travel Tube
