Description

The Shimano STC AX Mini Telescopic Spinning Rod 2.40m is part of the STC Mini Telespin range, a series of compact rods designed to be taken anywhere. A separate handle design keeps the transport length of even the longest 270cm model down to just 40cm. The range spans from 1.80m 3-14g up to 2.70m 10-30g, with eight models that are strong, lightweight, and offer actions that rival traditional 2-piece spinning rods. The blanks use a moderate-fast action that defies expectations for telescopic rods, built with Full Carbon plus Nanosheet construction for a lightweight and highly responsive feel. Shorter models excel in small rivers and ponds, ideal for casting lightweight lures, while longer, more powerful versions cope with medium lures in larger waters. The separate handle section features a short abbreviated cork grip and a custom Shimano reel seat that accommodates even the smallest reels. Lightweight single leg Shimano Hardlite guides are fitted to all sections of the telescopic part to minimise disturbance of the action. All models come with a high quality protective carry case for convenient made-up transport.
