The RidgeMonkey Escape XF2 Compact Bivvy V2 is a two-man shelter designed to fit a pair of standard-sized bedchairs. It is built around a sturdy aluminium X-frame with a tensioned central spine, which allows for rapid erection and pack-down without the need to thread poles or align joints. The shelter is finished in either Green or Camo. The outer skin is a windproof, waterproof, and breathable 300D ripstop HydroX fabric with a 20,000mm hydrostatic head. It meets CPAI-84 flame-resistant material standards and provides UV50+ ultraviolet protection. A sewn-in PVC groundsheet is included. The V2 model adds a removable inner capsule, a front peak vapour shield, and a multi-configuration front door that can be fitted with either a standard breathable mesh panel or a clear PVC option. Front, side, and rear insect mesh vents promote airflow while keeping pests out. Heavy-duty YKK zips with full water baffles are used throughout, and high-stress seams are triple-stitched with backing tape at load points. The XF2 Compact V2 is compatible with the XF2 Porch Extension V2 and the XF2 Extended Groundsheet V2, both sold separately, allowing the shelter to be expanded into a social hub, cook tent, or workspace.
