Description
The Preston Innovations ICS In-Line Solid Pellet Feeders are tactical feeders designed to deliver a concentrated payload of micro pellets to deep water or through dense shoals of nuisance silverfish. Their rugged, solid-sided body keeps loose feed trapped inside the frame during the descent, so the bait reaches the lake bed intact and settles as a tight, localised trap around the hook bait. The range uses Preston's Inter Change System (ICS), a modular design that lets you swap feeder sizes, weights, or change from a pellet feeder to an inline method or match cuboid in seconds, without cutting your line, dismantling the rig, or retying a knot. Water-intake holes at the rear of the chassis allow water to filter through the pellet payload once the feeder has settled, producing a controlled release of bait on the deck. - Product Type: Next-generation in-line commercial pellet feeder. - System Architecture: Fully integrated Inter Change System (ICS) for rapid, tool-free swaps. - Chassis Build: High-impact, heavy-duty solid polymer walls to completely shield bait from mid-water loss. - Bait Release Mechanics: Precision-engineered entry holes located at the rear base to allow water flow-through once settled. - Bait Compatibility: Explicitly optimized for micro pellets (1mm to 3mm) and softened pellets up to a substantial 9mm diameter. - Body Sizes: Available in two distinct body profiles to perfectly tailor your bait volume to the daily feeding rate. - Rig Configuration: In-line layout delivering true, self-hooking mechanics and peerless casting stability. The ICS quick-swap workflow runs as follows: slide the tail rubber off the stem, slide the feeder body up the mainline, unclip the line through the central groove, and replace the body instantly. Typical applications include deep-water commercial crater work, where the solid body delivers 100% of the pellets to the bottom when targeting match carp and F1s holding in deep central tracks of 6 to 12 feet; venues teeming with aggressive mid-water silverfish such as small roach and rudd, where the solid walls prevent bait being stripped during the sink; and cool-water winter finesse tactics, where the compact body sizes allow a small bed of pellets to be presented next to an expander, corn, or wafter hookbait without overfeeding sluggish fish. When preparing pellets for this feeder, make them slightly sticker than for a standard Method configuration. Dampen micro or 2mm pellets thoroughly and add a dash of water-soluble liquid additive or sticky binder. When loading, slide the hookbait into the solid tube first, scoop the pellets over the top, and apply a firm thumb pinch at the open face. The rear water holes let moisture filter in from behind, so a slightly stickier pellet cake will slowly expand and push the hookbait out into view, leaving a concentrated pile of food. The ICS system uses a central, hollow plastic stem that stays threaded onto the mainline. The feeder body has a full-length lateral slot. To swap feeders, slide the rubber tail sleeve off the stem, slide the body up the line, unclip it through the slot, and snap on a different ICS product. The open front aperture is wide enough to hold and deploy hookbaits from 6mm to 8mm hard pellets, expanders, sweetcorn grains, mini dumbbells, or balanced wafters without them becoming wedged. The entry holes are placed at the rear base rather than the sides to prevent water rushing past during the cast from washing pellets out in mid-water; once the feeder settles on the lake bed, water enters from the back and pushes the expanding pellets forward out of the main opening.
