The rod's guide configuration includes 50mm to 16mm SiC guides, utilizing single-leg intermediates to reduce weight in the upper section and minimise tip bounce, which helps line flow with less friction for increased casting range. A Fuji DPS reel seat ensures the reel is securely fastened, offering a stable platform for heavy cranking. The slim, full-length EVA handle with its signature flared collar, along with a machined stainless butt cap and a moulded ESP line clip, contribute to both its functionality and classic aesthetic. The 3.5lb test curve provides the backbone needed for powerful casts, with an optimum casting weight of 3.5oz to 4oz leads for maximum distance, achieving over 150m in testing.
