Korda Cog Leads

Description

Korda Cog Leads are lead weights engineered as a critical component of the Korda Centre Of Gravity (COG) System, designed to enhance hooking efficiency in carp fishing. This innovative system aims to ensure a fish feels the full weight of the lead almost instantly upon picking up the bait, leading to more positive hook holds. The COG effect is achieved by an anchor point positioned at the lead's center of gravity, where the hook link attaches to maximise resistance. Each Korda Cog Lead incorporates an integral rubber grommet, specifically designed to accept the COG half swivel, facilitating a secure and streamlined rig setup. These leads are manufactured from lead and are available in two distinct patterns to suit various fishing situations: - Flat Pear: This conventional, condensed shape offers excellent hooking potential, particularly suited for margin fishing, dropping rigs from a boat, or for use at shorter ranges. Its flat profile helps the lead remain stable on the lake bed, even when casting onto slopes. - Flat Distance: Designed by Danny Fairbrass, this lead takes inspiration from popular distance casting leads but features a slightly flattened profile. This modification enhances hooking capabilities and ensures the COG system is presented effectively. While the COG system generally excels at closer to medium ranges, the Flat Distance version is better suited for situations requiring longer casts compared to the Flat Pear. Korda Cog Leads perform optimally when fished over firm lake beds, such as gravel, sand, or firm silt. Lead colours may vary. Available weights for Korda Cog Leads include: - Flat Pear: 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, 3.5oz, 4oz, 5oz, 6oz, 8oz - Flat Distance: 2oz, 2.5oz, 3oz, 3.5oz, 4oz, 5oz
